Job Description

We are looking for a Mechanical Design Engineer with hands-on experience in Special Purpose Machines (SPM), Industrial Automation and Machine Design.

The candidate will be responsible for designing and developing mechanical systems and supporting the execution of automation projects from concept to implementation.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop Special Purpose Machines (SPM) and automated machinery.
• Prepare detailed 2D and 3D mechanical designs and drawings.
• Work on machine concepts, assemblies, components and mechanisms.
• Design and develop automation machines, conveyors, workstations, assembly lines and material handling systems.
• Support machine development, fabrication, assembly, testing and commissioning.
• Identify design-related technical issues and provide suitable engineering solutions.
• Conduct testing and modifications to improve machine performance and reliability.
• Coordinate with manufacturing, fabrication and project execution teams.
• Ensure designs meet project requirements, timelines, quality and cost objectives.
• Prepare and maintain design documentation and engineering drawings.
• Stay updated with new technologies and developments in industrial automation and machine design.

Required Skills

• Strong experience in Mechanical Machine Design.
• Hands-on experience in SPM / Special Purpose Machine Design.
• Proficiency in any of the following CAD software:
• SolidWorks
• Solid Edge
• UG NX / Unigraphics
• CATIA
• AutoCAD
• Good knowledge of mechanical components, assemblies, mechanisms and manufacturing processes.
• Understanding of automation systems and machine development.
• Exposure to Robotics, Conveyors, Pick & Place, Assembly Lines or Material Handling Equipment will be an advantage.
• Good problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.

Preferred Candidate Profile

Candidates with experience in the following areas are preferred:

SPM Design | Automation Machine Design | Machine Design | Industrial Automation | Robotics | Conveyor Systems | Assembly Lines | Pick & Place Systems | Material Handling Equipment

Candidates from SPM manufacturing, industrial automation, machine manufacturing or project-based engineering companies are preferred.

Education

• Diploma in Mechanical Engineering
• B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering
• Automobile / Instrumentation Engineering candidates with relevant machine design experience may also be considered.

Experience

3+ years of relevant experience in Mechanical Design / Machine Design / SPM / Industrial Automation.
