Inter CA | Assistant Manager / Manager (Accounts, Taxation & MIS)

Jaro Education is an established edtech pioneer and higher education provider focusing on executive education and university partnerships. We are looking for an experienced, detail-oriented Inter Chartered Accountant to lead Direct Tax, Indirect Tax (GST), and MIS reporting operations at our head office in Chembur, Mumbai.

Key Responsibilities

1. Direct Taxation:

• Prepare and file Income Tax Returns under the unified Tax Year concept.
• Calculate and manage timely advance tax and TDS/TCS provisions, ensuring correct section classifications.
• File regular TDS/TCS returns and coordinate certificate issuance.
• Handle statutory tax audits and coordinate end-to-end audit reporting requirements.
• Assist in faceless income tax assessments, scrutiny notices, and official tax authority submissions.
• Maintain compliance with the Income Tax Act, 2025, CBDT circulars, and the updated compliance calendar.

2. Indirect Taxation (GST):

• Prepare and file periodic GST returns (GSTR-1, GSTR-3B, GSTR-9/9C).
• Perform monthly GSTR-2B vs. purchase register reconciliations and rectify Input Tax Credit (ITC) mismatches.
• Handle departmental queries, GST audits, and scrutiny notices.
• Supervise e-invoicing and ensure accurate classification across commercial transactions.

3. MIS & Financial Reporting:

• Prepare periodic monthly/quarterly MIS dashboards for executive leadership review.
• Conduct budget vs. actual variance analysis across financial and operational metrics.
• Assist in cash flow forecasting, budgeting, and month-end/year-end closing routines.
• Automate MIS data pipelines leveraging advanced Excel and ERP tools.

Desired Candidate Profile

• Qualification: Inter CA (Chartered Accountant) mandatory.
• Experience: 8 to 9 years of relevant experience in accounts, direct/indirect tax compliance, and MIS reporting.
• Tax Knowledge: Strong operational knowledge of the Income Tax Act, 2025, alongside hands-on familiarity with the 1961 Act.
• Compliance Expertise: Comprehensive understanding of GST laws, return filing, and ITC reconciliation.
• Technical Proficiency: High proficiency in MS Excel and working knowledge of ERP systems.
• Soft Skills: Strong analytical capabilities, independent problem-solving skills, and the ability to handle strict regulatory deadlines.
