Intensivist

Job Description

M | O | C Cancer Care & Research Centre is looking for an experienced Intensivist to manage medical emergencies, provide critical care support, and ensure patient safety at its oncology daycare centres.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assess and manage patients requiring emergency medical intervention and stabilization.
• Monitor patients for clinical deterioration and initiate timely treatment.
• Manage oncology-related emergencies, including chemotherapy-related complications, infusion reactions, anaphylaxis, and respiratory distress.
• Provide emergency resuscitation and critical care support as required.
• Coordinate with oncologists, nursing staff, and other healthcare professionals for effective patient management.
• Ensure timely referral and safe transfer of critically ill patients to higher-level hospitals whenever required.
• Ensure the availability and readiness of emergency equipment, crash carts, and resuscitation medications.
• Maintain accurate medical records and comply with clinical protocols, infection control practices, and patient safety standards.

Eligibility Criteria

• MBBS with MD in General Medicine or a relevant specialty.
• Minimum 5+ years of ICU experience.
• Strong knowledge of critical care, emergency management, and patient stabilization.
• Experience in oncology care or managing chemotherapy-related complications will be an added advantage.
• BLS/ACLS certification preferred.
• Excellent clinical judgment, communication, and coordination skills.
