About the Role

Shriram Insurance and Brokers are seeking an experienced and dynamic Manager – General Insurance to drive business growth across industrial and commercial segments. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in General Insurance, exceptional communication skills, and the ability to develop long-term relationships with corporate and industrial clients while achieving business targets.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and expand the General Insurance business across industrial, commercial, and corporate sectors.
• Generate new business by visiting industrial areas, manufacturing units, factories, and commercial establishments.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, corporate houses, and channel partners.
• Promote and sell General Insurance products, including:
• Fire Insurance
• Marine Insurance
• Engineering Insurance
• Machinery Breakdown Insurance
• Liability Insurance
• Group Health Insurance
• Commercial Vehicle Insurance
• Property Insurance
• Other General Insurance products
• Coordinate with insurance companies for quotations, policy issuance, renewals, endorsements, and claims support.
• Achieve assigned monthly and annual business targets.
• Identify new business opportunities and expand the company's market presence.
• Ensure high standards of customer service and timely policy servicing.
• Prepare business reports, maintain client records, and ensure compliance with company policies.
• Represent the company professionally during client meetings, presentations, and business negotiations.

Eligibility Criteria

• Graduate in any discipline from a recognized university.
• Minimum 5–8 years of experience in General Insurance.
• Hands-on experience in industrial and commercial insurance business is mandatory.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
• Strong knowledge of General Insurance products and market practices.
• Ability to independently manage business development and client relationships.
• Proficiency in MS Office and business reporting tools.

Preferred Candidate Profile

• Proven experience in business development within the General Insurance industry.
• Existing network with industrial clients, factories, MSMEs, and corporate organisations will be an added advantage.
• Strong leadership, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
• Target-oriented with a customer-centric approach.
• Willingness to travel across Raipur and nearby industrial areas for business development.
