Insulation Engineer

Key Responsibilities

Engineering & Technical

• Review engineering drawings, P&IDs, isometric drawings, specifications, and insulation standards.
• Select appropriate insulation materials based on operating temperatures, environmental conditions, and project requirements.
• Review and approve insulation and cladding drawings, fabrication details, and material specifications.
• Ensure compliance with applicable international standards (ASTM, ISO, BS, CINI, NACE, ASME, API, etc.).

Project Management

• Plan, organize, and manage insulation projects from initiation through completion.
• Prepare project execution plans, schedules, manpower plans, and budgets.
• Supervise insulation installation activities on industrial facilities.
• Ensure proper installation of hot insulation, cold insulation, cryogenic insulation, acoustic insulation, passive fire protection, and metal cladding systems.
• Monitor project progress and ensure milestones are achieved within schedule and budget.
• Coordinate with engineering, procurement, construction, QA/QC, HSE, and client representatives.
• Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly progress reports.

Procurement & Commercial

• Estimate insulation quantities and prepare material take-offs (MTO).
• Review supplier quotations and recommend suitable materials.
• Coordinate procurement of insulation and cladding materials.
• Monitor material inventory and control project costs.
• Support tender preparation and bid evaluations.
