News of Bahrain has one of the largest social media audiences in the country. Were looking for a creative, trend-aware video editor to produce Reels that inform, entertain and grow our audience.

Hours: 2:00 PM to 10:00 PM

What you’ll do

• Edit short-form vertical video for Instagram Reels, plus TikTok, YouTube Shorts and Facebook
• Turn news stories, events and on-the-ground footage into fast, engaging Reels
• Keep up with trending audio, formats, memes and editing styles, and adapt them quickly to our content
• Add captions, text overlays, transitions, sound and simple motion graphics
• Suggest content ideas and series that fit what’s working on Instagram right now
• Track how Reels perform, including views, reach, shares, and saves, and learn from the results
• Work with our editorial team to publish quickly when news breaks

What we’re looking for

• Proven experience editing Reels or short-form video. Please share your Instagram or portfolio.
• Skill in CapCut, Premiere Pro, After Effects or similar tools
• Strong instinct for hooks, pacing and the first three seconds
• A genuine interest in Instagram culture and trends, local and global
• Ability to work quickly and turn content around the same day
• Good English.

Nice to have

• Shooting video on a phone or camera
• Basic graphic design (Canva or Photoshop)
• Knowledge of Bahrain and the local audience
