Inside Sales Team Lead

Roles and Responsibilties

Team Supervision

• Supervise daily quotation, order processing, and principal/customer coordination across the team.
• Set and track targets: quote turnaround, quote-to-order conversion, BOM coverage, SLAs.
• Run monthly reviews, coach on negotiation and quoting, flag underperformance early.
• Support hiring and onboarding of new executives.

Quality & Process Oversight

• Review quotation turnaround, pricing, and margin discipline.
• Ensure accurate preferred supplier databases and maximum BOM coverage per customer.
• Spot-check inventory control and order/dispatch accuracy.

Escalation & Coordination

• Resolve complex negotiations or Principal/customer disputes executives can't close alone.
• Liaise across Business Development, Dispatch, and Product teams to unblock orders.
• Represent inside sales in strategy meetings; maintain senior-level Principal/vendor relationships.

Reporting

• Consolidate team MIS: quote volumes, win rates, high-runners, aging RFQs.
• Drive volume-pricing negotiations on fast-moving parts.
• Recommend process improvements; ensure compliance with commercial policies.

Preferred Candidate Profile

Experience

• 10+ years in Inside Sales / Customer Service, including 2-3 years leading or mentoring a team

Core Skills

• Advanced proficiency in an ERP system, preferably Microsoft Dynamics NAV / Business Central
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Dynamics 365 Sales CRM
• Expert-level proficiency in Microsoft Outlook and Excel
• Excellent communication skills
• Complete Business Process Knowledge ( B2B )
• Demonstrated leadership qualities
• Runs structured feedback/performance reviews
