Infrastructure Specialist

Job Description Summary

This is a senior operational leadership role responsible for the stability, resilience, and compliance of the OpenShift platform estate at Lloyds Banking Group. As an OpenShift Lead Senior Operator (Grade E), you hold accountability for platform reliability and operational outcomes that span multiple clusters, environments, and squads supporting critical customer services.

You operate at estate scale, setting operational strategy, standards, and guardrails to ensure OpenShift platforms are run in a safe, predictable, and supportable manner. Your focus is on operational excellence - ensuring incidents are handled decisively, changes are executed safely, and systemic risks are identified and addressed before they impact customers.

At Grade E, you are not focused on individual ticket execution. Instead, you act as a multiplier - leading through influence, establishing strong operational practices, and creating alignment across Operations, Engineering, SRE, Security, and Service Management.
