The Application Delivery engineering team at Company is responsible for certification, integration, configuration management and maintenance of F5 load-balancer and Infoblox DNS & DHCP capability across our global environment - a huge, critical and highly automated plant. We are seeking a skilled developer with a passion for and experience of automating infrastructure in a private cloud environment to join our team. We are a key part of our firm’s DevOps transformation; delivering real-time APIs allowing infrastructure-as-code patterns to be deployed, and providing the back-end integrations that transform desired state into actual state of the environment.

A Python developer who’s automated repetitive tasks in a network, compute or middleware plant, potentially having written Ansible modules or Terraform providers, would be an ideal fit. Alternatively a network or compute engineer who’s scripted or automated low-level configuration and wants to progress their career in that direction would fit very well in our team. The role involves:

● Implementing automation for certification and plant management using Python and Ansible ● Extending and integrating APIs to provide infrastructure-on-demand

● Performing and automating lab-based testing as part of new hardware and software certification ● Communicating with internal clients and stakeholders to identify new business requirements and design well architected solutions that meet their needs

Skills Required ● Experience automating repetitive tasks related to installation, configuration or management of infrastructure using Ansible, Python, shell or other scripting/programming language

● Expertise with F5 LTM & GTM load-balancer configuration and APIs (TMSH, iControl and iRules) ● A firm understanding of networking concepts & protocols at all layers: TCP/IP, BGP, HTTP, SSL etc...

● Experience with distributed web applications and knowledge of their underlying infrastructure ● Comfort working with a Linux-based command line

Skills Desired ● Experience with other programming languages

● Hands-on experience deploying & configuring other network infrastructure (Cisco, Arista, etc...) ● Experience with the Infoblox suite of DNS and DHCP products

● Knowledge of virtualized and containerized infrastructure ● Understanding of software version control, deployment & build tools and SDLC practices

● Recognized industry certifications from F5, Cisco and other vendors
