Information Technology Business Analyst

We are seeking an experienced IT Business Analyst – Part Compliance Dashboard to support, enhance, and evolve the enterprise Part Compliance reporting solution. This role is part of the global IT organization and partners closely with Compliance, Engineering, Supply Chain, Regulatory, and Business stakeholders to ensure accurate, timely, and scalable compliance visibility across products and parts. As the IT Business Analyst for the Part Compliance Dashboard, you will serve as the primary liaison between business users and technical teams. You will own functional requirements, translate regulatory and business needs into actionable specifications, and support the delivery of dashboards and data integrations that enable compliance with RoHS, REACH, POPs, and PFAS regulations. This role emphasizes strong functional requirements documentation, data understanding, and cross-functional collaboration.

Key Responsibilities · Serve as the primary IT Business Analyst and functional point of contact for the Part Compliance Dashboard solution. · Lead end-to-end functional requirements definition, working closely with business stakeholders and IT delivery teams to ensure shared understanding and traceability. · Utilize Python to perform data analysis, automate data validation, and support reporting processes for regulatory compliance datasets. · Facilitate structured requirements-gathering sessions with Compliance, Engineering, Supply Chain, and Regulatory stakeholders. · Elicit, analyze, and document detailed business and functional requirements related to product, part, and regulatory compliance reporting for RoHS, REACH, POPs, and PFAS. · Develop and maintain clear, high-quality Functional Requirements Documents (FRDs), including process flows, data requirements, business rules, assumptions, and dependencies. · Translate regulatory and business needs into well-defined functional specifications that enable effective technical design, development, and testing. · Act as the primary liaison between business and IT to clarify requirements, resolve gaps, and manage changes throughout the delivery lifecycle. · Support the design and evolution of dashboards, metrics, and visualizations that provide compliance status, risk, trends, and regulatory insights for RoHS, REACH, POPs, and PFAS across parts and products. · Collaborate with IT teams on data sourcing, integrations, and transformations from upstream systems (e.g., PLM, ERP, supplier declaration and compliance data). · Assist in defining data standards, attributes, and validation rules related to regulated substances, including material, substance, and threshold logic required for supported regulations. · Validate delivered solutions through functional testing, data validation, and user acceptance testing (UAT), ensuring alignment with documented functional requirements. · Ensure comprehensive documentation of business processes, functional designs, data definitions, and user guidance. · Provide ongoing production support and recommend continuous improvements to the Part Compliance Dashboard.

Qualifications – Must Have · Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field. · 5+ years of experience in an IT Business Analyst or similar role, supporting enterprise applications or reporting solutions. - Working knowledge of Python for data analysis, data validation, automation, and manipulation of large datasets using libraries such as Pandas or similar. · Proven experience eliciting, analyzing, and translating business and regulatory requirements into clear functional and technical specifications for IT delivery teams. · Demonstrated experience supporting compliance, reporting, or data-driven solutions, particularly those involving product- or part-level data. · Working knowledge of database concepts, including relational data structures, tables, queries, and basic SQL, to support data analysis, validation, and functional requirements definition. · Experience supporting and enhancing business-critical dashboards, tools, or applications, including production support and functional troubleshooting. · Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work through complex regulatory and data scenarios. · Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with experience collaborating across Compliance, Engineering, Supply Chain, and IT stakeholders. · Experience working within structured delivery models such as Agile / Scrum or SAFe environments. · Fluent in English.

Qualifications – Nice to Have · Experience with product, part, or regulatory compliance processes, specifically RoHS, REACH, POPs, and PFAS. - · Experience developing Python scripts to automate reporting, data validation, or regulatory compliance processes. · Familiarity with how these regulations impact product composition, material declarations, supplier data, and compliance reporting. · Experience documenting functional requirements for regulatory, compliance, or audit-driven solutions. · Exposure to PLM, ERP, or supplier compliance systems and related data models. · Experience with BI or analytics platforms (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, or similar). · Familiarity with data integration concepts and upstream/downstream system dependencies. · Experience working in a global, multi-site, or cross-functional environment.
