Infection Control Nurse

Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and qualified Infection Control Nurse to oversee and implement infection prevention and control practices within the hospital. The candidate will be responsible for monitoring hospital-acquired infections, ensuring compliance with infection control protocols, conducting surveillance, and educating healthcare staff on infection prevention measures.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor and prevent hospital-acquired infections (HAIs).
• Conduct infection surveillance and maintain accurate records.
• Ensure compliance with NABH/NABL and hospital infection control standards.
• Develop and implement infection control policies and SOPs.
• Conduct regular infection control audits and inspections.
• Train and educate healthcare workers on infection prevention practices.
• Coordinate with various departments regarding infection control measures.
• Investigate outbreaks and recommend corrective actions.
• Monitor sterilization, disinfection, biomedical waste management, and hand hygiene practices.
• Prepare monthly infection control reports and presentations.

Desired Candidate Profile

• B.Sc Nursing / GNM with a valid nursing registration.
• Certification or training in Infection Control is preferred.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in infection control or hospital nursing.
• Knowledge of NABH standards and infection prevention protocols.
• Good communication, analytical, and training skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams.
