Industrial Trainee - Taxation

Role & responsibilities

• Assist in preparation and filing of Direct Tax Returns (Corporate Tax, TDS, and Advance Tax).
• Support computation of tax provisions, deferred tax, and effective tax rate workings.
• Assist in preparation and review of tax reconciliations and tax-related schedules.
• Support compliance with Income Tax Act provisions and regulatory requirements.
• Coordinate with internal stakeholders for collection and verification of tax-related data.
• Assist during tax assessments, audits, and notices from tax authorities.
• Prepare documentation for tax audits and transfer pricing requirements, where applicable.
• Maintain tax records, compliance trackers, and supporting documents.
• Conduct research on changes in direct tax laws and prepare impact assessments.
• Support monthly, quarterly, and annual tax reporting activities.

Preferred candidate profile

Working knowledge of Direct Taxation, Income Tax Act, and TDS provisions.

• Good understanding of accounting principles and financial statements.
• Proficiency in MS Excel, PowerPoint, and tax compliance documentation.
• Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Attention to detail and ability to work within timelines.
