Description

We are seeking a skilled Indian Chef to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for Indian cuisine and be responsible for preparing a variety of traditional and contemporary dishes. The chef will play a key role in menu development and ensuring high-quality food is served to our guests.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook authentic Indian dishes according to traditional recipes and modern techniques.
• Create and develop new recipes to enhance the menu offerings.
• Ensure all food is prepared in accordance with health and safety regulations.
• Manage inventory and order supplies as needed to maintain kitchen efficiency.
• Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations during service periods.
• Train and mentor junior kitchen staff in cooking techniques and presentation.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization in the kitchen area.

Skills and Qualifications

• 5-6 years of experience in Indian cuisine or a related culinary role.
• Extensive knowledge of Indian spices, herbs, and cooking techniques.
• Proficiency in preparing a variety of Indian dishes including vegetarian and non-vegetarian options.
• Strong knife skills and experience with various cooking methods such as grilling, frying, and baking.
• Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Certification from a recognized culinary school is preferred.
