Job Summary

V2 Retail Ltd. is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Apparel/GM Division Receiving Head to manage inbound receiving operations for the Apparel / GM category at its Bangalore Distribution Centre. The role is responsible for ensuring accurate and timely receipt of inventory, inventory verification, SAP transactions, manpower management, discrepancy resolution, and coordination with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth inventory flow within the warehouse.

Key Responsibilities

Receiving Operations Management

• Manage end-to-end receiving operations for the APPAREL/GM Division.
• Monitor daily inbound volumes and plan receiving activities accordingly.
• Ensure smooth movement of inventory from receiving to putaway without operational delays.
• Track pending receipts and ensure timely closure.

Inventory Verification & Accuracy

• Verify received inventory against ASN, invoices, packing lists, and supporting documents.
• Ensure accurate quantity and SKU-level verification during receiving.
• Identify and resolve discrepancies such as shortages, excess quantities, damages, and wrong receipts.
• Maintain high inventory accuracy standards throughout the receiving process.

SAP & System Compliance

• Ensure timely and accurate receiving transactions in SAP/WMS.
• Monitor GRN creation and inventory receipt confirmations.
• Maintain proper receiving records and system documentation.
• Ensure compliance with inventory control procedures and warehouse SOPs.

Team Management

• Lead and supervise the team.
• Allocate manpower based on inbound volume and operational priorities.
• Monitor productivity and ensure efficient resource utilization.
• Provide training and guidance to team members on receiving processes and system compliance.

Cross-Functional Coordination

• Coordinate with Transport, Quality, Putaway, MSA, Inventory Control, and Planning teams.
• Ensure timely resolution of operational issues impacting receiving performance.
• Support smooth inventory flow across warehouse operations.

Reporting & Process Improvement

• Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly receiving reports.
• Track receiving productivity, discrepancy reports, and inventory accuracy metrics.
• Identify opportunities to improve receiving efficiency and turnaround time.
• Ensure adherence to safety standards and operational best practices.

Required Skills & Competencies

• Strong understanding of warehouse receiving and inventory management processes.
• Hands-on experience with SAP/WMS and warehouse transactions.
• Good proficiency in MS Excel, including Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, and MIS reporting.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Effective team management and coordination skills.
• Ability to manage high-volume retail warehouse operations.
