About this role
Scope: The Technical Consultant – Cloud will be responsible for providing first-level monitoring, troubleshooting, and support for IT infrastructure environments. This role serves as the initial point of contact for infrastructure incidents, service requests, and alerts, ensuring timely escalation and resolution in alignment with defined SLAs.

What you’ll do:
• Monitor infrastructure components (servers, storage, network devices, backup systems, virtualization, cloud platforms) using standard monitoring tools. • Act as the first point of contact for infrastructure-related incidents and service requests. • Perform basic troubleshooting of hardware, OS, and network issues based on standard operating procedures (SOPs). • Log, track, and update incidents and requests in the ticketing/ITSM system. • Escalate unresolved issues to L2/L3 teams with proper documentation and logs. • Perform routine health checks, daily checklist activities, and report deviations. • Support user requests related to access, password resets, and basic infra queries. • Adhere to defined processes, SLAs, and compliance/security guidelines. • Maintain accurate documentation of incidents, knowledge articles, and runbooks. • Manage servers (Windows/Linux), virtualization platforms, storage systems, and network devices. • Implement standard changes and upgrades to infrastructure components. • Support patching, backup/restore operations, and performance monitoring. • Ensure compliance with security, backup, and audit requirements.
What we are looking for:
• Bachelor’s degree in IT/Computer Science/Electronics (preferred) or equivalent diploma. • 2–5 years of relevant infrastructure support/administration experience. • Relevant certifications (e.g., Microsoft, Red Hat, VMware, CCNA, ITIL Intermediate) are highly desirable. • Strong knowledge of infrastructure domains: • Compute: Windows/Linux server administration, virtualization (VMware/Hyper-V). • Networking: TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, firewall basics, load balancers. • Storage/Backup: SAN/NAS concepts, backup tools, data recovery. • Cloud (preferred): Azure, AWS, or GCP basic administration. • Hands-on experience with monitoring and ITSM tools (ServiceNow, SCOM, Nagios, SolarWinds, etc.). • Ability to analyze logs, trace issues, and perform RCA. • Good understanding of ITIL processes (Incident, Problem, Change, Knowledge Management). • Strong communication and collaboration skills. • This role involves rotational shifts, including night shifts, to provide 24/7 application support. • Flexibility to work weekends and public holidays as per shift schedule. • Ability to handle responsibilities independently during off-hours.//Req_43
