We are a Thane-based real estate development and property-owning group with interests in residential development, land holdings, acquisitions and redevelopment opportunities across the Mumbai Metropolitan Region.
We are seeking an in-house legal counsel to take ownership of our legal matters, property documentation and coordination with external advocates. The role combines legal analysis, litigation management, land-title due diligence and the systematic organisation of historical property records.
Key Responsibilities

- Monitor ongoing litigation, property disputes, encroachment matters and revenue proceedings.
- Coordinate with external advocates, review advice and drafts, document meetings and follow through on agreed actions.
- Maintain case summaries, chronologies, hearing schedules, deadlines and outstanding instructions.
- Independently research legal issues, identify risks and present recommendations to management.
Property Records & Documentation
- Establish and maintain a comprehensive digital repository of historical land records, title documents, agreements, court papers and correspondence.
- Maintain a master property register linking ownership details, survey/CTS numbers, historical transactions and legal matters.
- Oversee scanning, OCR, indexing and secure storage to enable efficient retrieval and AI-assisted analysis.
- Identify gaps and inconsistencies in historical ownership and property records.
Acquisition & Redevelopment Due Diligence
- Conduct preliminary legal due diligence on prospective land acquisitions and redevelopment opportunities.
- Examine ownership histories, title documents, revenue records, encumbrances, litigation and transaction risks.
- Prepare due-diligence reports identifying legal concerns, missing records and matters requiring further investigation.
Coordination, Drafting & Reporting
- Liaise with land-record agents, government authorities and other stakeholders to advance pending matters.
- Prepare and review legal correspondence, representations, notices, replies and preliminary agreement drafts.
- Maintain action trackers and conduct daily updates and structured weekly reviews with the Director.
- Use AI-assisted tools for legal research, drafting and document analysis, with appropriate verification and confidentiality safeguards.
Candidate Profile
- LL.B. with preferably 710 years of relevant experience in real estate law, property-title matters, litigation or an in-house legal function.
- Strong familiarity with Maharashtra land and revenue records, property transactions, title investigations and legal procedures.
- Experience coordinating with external advocates, government authorities and land-record professionals.
- Ability to independently analyse complex property documents, identify legal issues and communicate actionable recommendations.
- Excellent drafting, documentation, organisation and follow-up skills.
- Proficiency with digital productivity tools and an interest in AI-enabled legal workflows.
