An Import Executive for Bearings supports the Imports Executive in managing the importation of bearings from foreign suppliers, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery, and maintaining quality standards. Key responsibilities include:
- Assisting in sourcing and selecting reliable foreign suppliers
- Coordinating with logistics teams for transportation and customs clearance
- Monitoring shipment schedules, inventory levels, and lead times
- Ensuring compliance with import regulations, laws, and quality standards
- Maintaining accurate documentation, records, and reports
- Communicating with suppliers, freight forwarders, and internal teams
- Assisting in negotiating prices, payment terms, and delivery schedules
- Analyzing market trends, competitor activity, and supplier performance
- Identifying opportunities to optimize costs, reduce lead times, and improve quality
- Supporting the development of relationships with suppliers and freight forwarders
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or related field
- 3-8 years of experience in imports management or a related field
- Strong knowledge of import regulations, customs procedures, and trade agreements
- Familiarity with bearings industry and products
- Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Proficiency in Adv.Excel, Microsoft Office, and logistics software
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively
