About this role
We are looking for a sharp, detail-obsessed logistics professional to own the end-to-end supply chain, from coordinating inbound shipments from China to last-mile delivery and warehouse operations. This is a hands-on, high-ownership role focused on ensuring smooth fulfillment and operational excellence.
Responsibilities:
- Coordinate with manufacturers and suppliers in China on production handover, shipment schedules, and documentation, including invoices, packing lists, and bills of lading.
- Liaise with freight forwarders and customs brokers for smooth clearance and timely inbound deliveries.
- Track international shipments end-to-end and proactively flag delays to the team.
- Develop working knowledge of import duties, HS codes, and GST/IGST implications relevant to product categories.
- Manage day-to-day operations on Shiprocket, including creating and processing orders, tracking shipments, handling NDRs, and coordinating re-attempts.
- Own the returns and reverse logistics process, ensuring fast resolution and clean stock re-entry at the warehouse.
- Monitor courier SLAs and escalate issues with partners before they impact customer experience.
- Maintain clean records of dispatch, delivery, and exceptions in the tracking system.
- Oversee inbound receiving by verifying quantity and quality against purchase orders and flagging discrepancies.
- Maintain accurate, real-time inventory records, including SKU-wise stock levels, locations, and movement logs.
- Coordinate pick, pack, and dispatch operations to meet daily order SLAs.
- Ensure proper storage standards, product handling, packaging integrity, and basic SOPs.
- Flag stock health issues such as slow movers, near-zero stock, and discrepancies to the operations lead.
- Work with customer care on open delivery issues needing logistics resolution.
- Align with the brand team on product launch timelines, stock-in dates, and availability commitments.
- Maintain clear, professional communication with freight partners, courier vendors, and the warehouse team.
Requirements:
- Experience in logistics, supply chain, or D2C operations.
- Familiarity with import processes and documentation, preferably for China freight.
- Proficiency in Google Sheets or Excel for tracking and reporting.
- Detail-oriented, proactive, and a clear communicator.
- Comfortable working in a small, fast-moving startup environment.
- Nice to have: Hands-on experience with Shiprocket or a similar D2C logistics platform.
