Roles and Responsibilities:

Job Description:

• Quality Control: Oversee and conduct regular coding audits to ensure compliance with coding standards, regulations, and internal policies.
• Coding Expertise: Handle complex coding cases/denial management scenarios and provide advanced coding support to the team, ensuring accurate assignment of ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS codes.
• Compliance Management: Ensure that all coding practices comply with federal and state regulations, payer-specific guidelines, and internal policies.
• Data Analysis: Analyse coding data and metrics to monitor performance, identify trends, and report findings to senior management.
• Collaboration: Work closely with other departments, including billing, clinical, and administrative teams, to resolve coding issues and improve overall documentation practices.

Qualification

Certification: Certified Coding Specialist (CCS) or Certified Professional Coder (CPC) certification required.

Key Skills :

• Experience: Over 6 to 7 years of professional experience in medical coding, with at least 2 years in a leadership or supervisory role.
• Knowledge: Extensive knowledge of ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS coding systems, medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology.
• Skills: Strong leadership and management skills, excellent attention to detail, and advanced problem-solving abilities. Proficiency in EHR systems and medical coding software.
• Communication: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills to effectively interact with team members, healthcare professionals, and senior management.
