Immediate Opening - Engineer or Senior Engineer - Chennai

Role & responsibilities

• Create, modify and maintain 3D CAD models and 2D drawings using UG NX (Siemens NX).
• Support Body Design and vehicle packaging activities for automotive programs.
• Develop and modify Body-related components based on engineering requirements.
• Perform design updates based on engineering changes and customer requirements.
• Ensure designs meet vehicle packaging, interface and engineering requirements.
• Perform design feasibility checks and identify potential design/package conflicts.
• Participate in design reviews and incorporate feedback from stakeholders.
• Maintain CAD data quality and ensure proper configuration of design data.

Vehicle Engineering Activities

• Work with vehicle-level architecture and packaging requirements.
• Understand interfaces between Body, Exterior, Interior, Chassis and other vehicle systems.
• Support vehicle package studies and integration activities.
• Perform DMU, clearance and interference/clash checks.
• Identify and resolve design issues in coordination with cross-functional teams.
• Support engineering changes throughout the product development cycle.
