Immediate Joiner- Homologation Engineer at Chennai

Vehicle Test plan preparation for Certification & schedule planning with Regional COP team & Govt Authority for Emission legal compliance and CoP within stipulated timing.

• Standard Interpretation: Monitor updates in Indian Automotive Standards (AIS) andBharat Stage (BS) norms to ensure the plant remains compliant.

• Internal Pre-Audits: Conduct "mock" audits of the assembly process to identify potentialnon-compliance before official agency inspections

• Sample Selection: Oversee the statistically random selection of vehicles from the production line for emissions and safety testing

• Emission COP: Supervise exhaust emission testing to ensure production vehicles meet the limits defined during initial certification
• WVSCoP (Whole Vehicle Safety): Verify that safety components (brakes, lights, tires,etc.) consistently meet the approved specifications.
• Non-Conformity Handling: Identify deviations between the production spec and thecertified spec; initiate Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA).
• Engineering Changes: Evaluate how "running changes" on the assembly line affectcurrent certifications and apply for extensions of approval when necessary.
• CMVR TAT 115/116 & 126, AIS 007, Indian Regulations, Euro, ECE R83, 101 and vehicleRDE testing as per Regulations, PEMS Uncertainty.
• Knowledge of Emission testing of passenger vehicles as per IDC, EUDC, MIDC, RDE testcycles and Handle meet with new regulations change.
• Project planning & execution, dealing with ARAI/GARC/BOSCH/DELPHI TVS Chassis dynometer Emission test lab External & Internal testing.
• Well conversant with Homologation process in India and for exports. In depthknowledge of various testing methodologies & upcoming regulations necessary foremission compliances,
• Ensuring homologation for domestic and export markets from powertrain / emissionspoint of view for all projects. Study & support for powertrain related regulations.
• Preparation of documentation, drawings & checklists necessary for certificationactivities. Negotiations with local authorities, testing laboratories,
• Testing equipment procurement, preparation of assistance criteria, scope of supplydocuments and quotation preparation as per requirement & it installation andcommissioning,
• Vehicles Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) Identified the Trouble shooting and failureanalysis and rectified using Service & Quality tools,
• Knowledge of Inspection and Measuring instruments, Testing criteria Vehicle functionaland Emission test.
• Ensure New vehicles built for exports markets meet all the regulatory requirementsthrough sampling Audit as per Market requirement,
• Crosscheck product specification against NTA, WVTA, ECE, EEC, ADR, FMVSS, CMVSSapprovals,
• Share the emission test results & GRC Audit Nonconformity report out weekly andmonthly to regional and plant management team.
• Responsible for Department Record Inventory Matrix (DRIM) Plant record matrix,Annual file review
• Monitoring Gauges calibration status as a centralized gauge coordinator through OEM,external agency,
