The Role Airbus’ Information Management (IM) Function is seeking an SAP & AI Intern. In this role, you will bridge the gap between complex business processes, foundational enterprise technical architecture, data structures, and modern AI algorithms. You will work alongside experienced functional, technical, and AI specialists to gain hands-on experience in SAP module workflows, Data Structures & Algorithms (DSA), and AI-driven enterprise automation. Working within a dynamic, fast-paced, and international agile environment, you will balance real-time operational troubleshooting with active participation in current, high-value development pipelines.

Ideally, this is a 6 months internship and it should start in January 2027

What You Bring Education: B.Tech / B.E. degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, AI/Data Science, or a related engineering branch (recent graduate or final-year student eligible for full-time internship). Algorithmic Mastery & DSA: Strong foundational understanding of core Data Structures (arrays, trees, graphs, hash tables) and Algorithm Design (sorting, searching, time/space complexity analysis, and dynamic programming). ERP Foundations: Clear understanding of Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) concepts, enterprise architecture, and integrated business processes. AI Knowledge & Project Experience: Direct hands-on experience developing or contributing to at least one Artificial Intelligence / Machine Learning project (e.g., NLP, Predictive Analytics, Computer Vision, or LLM applications). Technical Aptitude: Proficiency in programming languages commonly used in computer science and modern AI workflows (e.g., Python, C++, or Java) along with relational database management systems (SQL/RDBMS). Agile Mindset & Customer Focus: Comfort working in distributed, cross-functional teams using Agile/Scrum methodologies, with strong problem-solving skills and effective communication. Qualifications & Experience As an SAP & AI Intern, the candidate should have a solid foundation in software engineering principles, computer science core subjects, and enterprise software concepts. Your area of responsibility will extend to assisting in system support, analyzing technical requirements, and exploring how AI can optimize enterprise workflows. The candidate will join the Product and Service Line structure providing digital solutions to manage enterprise and business processes throughout Airbus organizations. As such, he/she needs to have a strong customer focus, an analytical mindset, clear communication skills, and an eagerness to learn complex systems. CS & DSA Fundamentals: Strong computer science fundamentals with emphasis on Data Structures and Algorithm Design. ERP Concepts: Fundamental conceptual knowledge of ERP systems and how integrated business modules function. AI/ML Project Portfolio: Hands-on exposure to an AI/ML project through academic coursework, capstone projects, or personal portfolios. Database Systems: Exposure to relational database management systems (RDBMS) and query optimization basics. SAP Exposure: Basic familiarity or strong interest in learning SAP architectures (e.g., S/4HANA, ABAP, SAP BTP). Good to have any SAP Certification. Analytical & Soft Skills: Good problem-solving skills, root-cause analytical thinking, and effective written and verbal communication. Responsibilities Understand business processes and technical architecture within the Airbus SAP landscape. Design and write efficient algorithms utilizing optimal Data Structures to solve complex data processing and logic challenges within enterprise systems. Apply machine learning and AI concepts to evaluate and optimize ERP business processes, workflows, and data analytics. Support the translation of business requirements into functional and technical specification documents and algorithmic flowcharts. Assist in data extraction, transformation, cleansing, and loading (ETL) tasks for enterprise systems and AI model training datasets. Participate in unit testing, system integration testing (SIT), and validation for software enhancements and AI integrations. Help log, analyze, and troubleshoot functional or technical incidents under senior mentorship. Monitor AI and technology trends and support teams to apply these within the Airbus Environment to enhance competitive edge. Adhere constantly to compliance risks, internal policies, and procedures governing business activities, acting with continuous commitment and integrity. Success Metrics Success will be measured in a variety of areas, including but not limited to: Consistently ensure the on-time delivery and quality (first-time-right) of assigned tasks and project deliverables. Demonstrate rapid learning and practical application of SAP and AI frameworks within projects. Achieve internal team and stakeholder satisfaction through proactive collaboration.
