IELTS & PTE Trainer

Role & responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct IELTS and PTE training for individual and group batches.
• Train candidates in:
• Listening
• Reading
• Writing
• Speaking
• Conduct regular practice tests and mock exams.
• Check candidate performance and identify areas for improvement.
• Provide individual feedback and additional coaching where required.
• Help candidates improve grammar, vocabulary, pronunciation and communication skills.
• Explain IELTS and PTE exam formats and test-taking strategies.
• Track candidate progress and maintain score records.
• Support candidates until they are ready to take the final examination.
• Coordinate with the recruitment and international mobility team regarding candidate requirements.

Candidate Score TargetThe trainer will be responsible for preparing candidates to achieve the following minimum scores:

• IELTS: 6.5+ overall
• PTE: 30+ overall

The trainer should regularly conduct mock tests and ensure candidates are progressing towards these targets.Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in English, Education, Linguistics or a related field preferred.
• 25 years of experience as an IELTS/PTE or English-language trainer.
• Good knowledge of IELTS and PTE exam patterns and scoring.
• Excellent spoken and written English.
• Good teaching and communication skills.
• Ability to handle both individual and group training.
• Experience training candidates for overseas employment or migration will be an advantage.

PerformanceThe trainer will be evaluated based on:

• Candidate attendance and completion
• Improvement in mock-test scores
• Number of candidates achieving IELTS 6.5+ / PTE 30+
• Candidate performance and feedback
• Overall training quality

Preferred Candidates with experience training skilled workers, engineers, healthcare professionals, teachers and other professionals for overseas employment or migration will be preferred.
