IEC Role

Role & responsibilities

• Drive IEC campaigns to build awareness and encourage long-term behavioural change among waste generators.

• Address queries, concerns, and resistance from stakeholders through effective communication and engagement.

• Plan and conduct workshops, awareness sessions, orientation programmes, and interactive demonstrations for BWGs.

• Conduct regular field visits to assess the implementation of source segregation practices at BWG premises.

• Maintain records of door-to-door outreach, workshops, training sessions, and stakeholder interactions.

Preferred candidate profile

• Graduate in Mass Communication, Communications, Social Work, Environmental Studies, Development Studies, or any related discipline.

• 13 years of experience in IEC activities, community mobilisation, field outreach, awareness campaigns, or waste management projects

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and influence diverse stakeholders.

• Confident in conducting door-to-door outreach, community workshops, training sessions, and awareness campaigns.
