Ictc Counsellor

Role & responsibilities

• Provide pre-test and post-test counselling to clients as per ICTC guidelines.
• Counsel patients on HIV/AIDS prevention, transmission, testing, and treatment.
• Provide psychosocial support while maintaining strict confidentiality.
• Facilitate referrals and linkages with ART centres and other healthcare services.
• Maintain counselling records, registers, MIS, and required reports.
• Coordinate with medical, laboratory, and healthcare teams for effective patient support.

Preferred candidate profile

• Relevant experience in HIV/AIDS counselling, ICTC, ART Centre, or NACO programs preferred.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong counselling, documentation, and patient-handling skills.
• Ability to work with sensitivity and maintain confidentiality.
