Responsibilities

• We are seeking an experienced IBM Mainframe DBA with strong hands-on expertise supporting CA Datacom database environments.

Key Skills Experience

• 5+ years of IBM mainframe database administration experience
• Strong hands-on experience with CA Datacom/DB and Datacom Multi-User Facility (MUF)
• DB2 experience is a plus
• Database design, administration, performance tuning, and troubleshooting
• Datacom utilities, backup/recovery, and database maintenance
• Experience with JCL, z/OS, TSO/ISPF, and mainframe utilities
• Strong understanding of mainframe storage, batch processing, and system interfaces
• Ability to troubleshoot database performance, availability, and production issues
• Experience supporting application development teams and resolving complex production problems
• Familiarity with Datacom SQL and database migration/conversion activities is desirable
• Strong documentation and communication skills

Ideal Candidate

A hands-on senior DBA who can independently support a production CA Datacom environment on IBM z/OS, troubleshoot issues, optimize performance, and work closely with application and infrastructure teams.
