Role Responsibilities
- Design and deliver engaging, curriculum-aligned IBDP Physics lessons (SL/HL) covering Mechanics, Thermodynamics, Electromagnetism, and Modern Physics.
- Facilitate hands-on laboratory experiments, ensuring safety protocols and IB scientific inquiry standards are met.
- Assess student progress through formative and summative assessments, including IA (Internal Assessments), and provide targeted feedback.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to integrate TOK (Theory of Knowledge) and CAS (Creativity, Activity, Service) into Physics learning.
- Support students in preparing for IB external examinations through structured revision, practice papers, and individual coaching.
- Participate in departmental meetings, curriculum development, and professional development workshops aligned with IB philosophy.
Skills Qualifications
- Must-Have
- IBDP Physics teaching experience (minimum 2 years)
- IB Educator Certificate or IB workshop participation
- Proficiency in IB assessment criteria (IA, Paper 1, 2, 3)
- Expertise in laboratory safety and experimental design
- Fluency in scientific inquiry and TOK integration
- Strong classroom management and differentiation skills
- Preferred
- Experience with IB Physics HL curriculum
- Familiarity with IB curriculum updates (2025+)
- Experience mentoring IB Physics students for top scores
