Hvac Technician

Carry out servicing, preventive maintenance, troubleshooting and retrofit work for commercial air-conditioning systems.

Responsibilities

• Service and maintain VRF, cassette, tower and ductable air-conditioning units.
• Diagnose cooling, electrical, refrigerant, drainage, control and mechanical issues, and recommend corrective action.
• Carry out routine and breakdown service visits, including equipment checks, cleaning and performance verification.
• Support retrofit and replacement work at customer locations.
• Record service findings, parts used and work completed for each job.
• Follow safe service practices and keep tools and test instruments in working condition.

Requirements

• Hands-on maintenance knowledge of VRF, cassette, tower and ductable AC systems.
• Experience with AC servicing, troubleshooting and retrofit jobs.
• Ability to attend field service calls and diagnose faults methodically.

Preferred qualifications

• Knowledge of preventive maintenance and standard HVAC testing procedures.
• Ability to interpret service manuals and communicate faults clearly to supervisors.

Work setting: Field-based service work at customer sites.
