Hvac Design Engineer

Role & responsibilities

• Assist in HVAC system design for commercial, residential, industrial, and other building projects.
• Prepare HVAC layouts, ducting layouts, piping layouts, and equipment schedules using AutoCAD.
• Perform basic HVAC load calculations and equipment selection.
• Coordinate HVAC designs with Electrical, Plumbing, Fire Fighting, and other MEP services.
• Coordinate with architects, structural consultants, contractors, and site teams.
• Conduct regular site visits and coordinate with execution teams to resolve design and site-related issues.
• Review shop drawings and ensure execution is as per approved design and specifications.
• Assist in preparation of BOQs, technical specifications, and material requirements.
• Identify and resolve MEP clashes and support overall project coordination.
• Willingness to learn new HVAC design standards, software, and project requirements.

Preferred candidate profile

• Diploma/B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering.
• Around 1 year of experience in HVAC design/MEP consultancy.
• Good knowledge of AutoCAD.
• Basic understanding of HVAC systems, ducting, piping, and equipment.
• Understanding of MEP coordination and construction drawings.
• Good communication and coordination skills.
• Willingness to learn, adapt, and take responsibility.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
