Hvac Design Engineer

Role & responsibilities

• Design and engineering of air-conditioning and HVAC systems.
• Perform heating and cooling load calculations.
• Design ducting systems, chilled-water piping, refrigerant piping, and ventilation systems.
• Select and size AHUs, FCUs, chillers, VRF/VRV systems, DX units, package units, cooling towers, pumps, and ventilation equipment.
• Prepare HVAC and air-conditioning layouts, schematics, equipment schedules, and design drawings.
• Design fresh-air, exhaust-air, and ventilation systems.
• Prepare BOQs, technical specifications, equipment schedules, and tender documents.
• Coordinate HVAC/air-conditioning designs with architectural, electrical, plumbing, fire-fighting, and structural services.
• Review shop drawings, material submittals, and technical documents.
• Provide technical support during installation, testing, commissioning, and troubleshooting of air-conditioning systems.
• Ensure HVAC designs comply with applicable standards, project specifications, and local building codes.

Preferred candidate profile

• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering / HVAC / Refrigeration & Air Conditioning.
• Relevant experience in HVAC and air-conditioning design.
• Good knowledge of HVAC system design, cooling-load calculations, duct design, and equipment selection.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD; knowledge of Revit MEP and HVAC calculation software is an advantage.
