Hvac Design Engineer

Key Responsibilities

• Design HVAC systems for residential, commercial, and industrial projects.
• Perform HVAC heat load calculations and equipment selection.
• Prepare ducting layouts, piping designs, shop drawings, and detailed design drawings.
• Prepare estimation and material take-offs (MTO/BOQ).
• Coordinate with project managers, site engineers, clients, contractors, and OEMs.
• Obtain shop drawing approvals from clients and OEMs.
• Provide technical guidance during HVAC installation and project execution.
• Support site troubleshooting, identify design-related issues, and implement necessary design modifications.
• Prepare as-built drawings and maintain proper drawing revisions and documentation.
• Ensure designs comply with applicable building codes, safety regulations, and energy-efficiency standards.
• Support preventive maintenance planning and continuous improvement of HVAC design practices.
• Manage multiple projects while meeting quality and project deadlines.

Requirements

• B.E./B. Tech in Mechanical Engineering.
• 34 years of relevant HVAC design experience.
• Strong knowledge of HVAC system design, planning, and coordination.
• Hands-on experience with heat load calculations, equipment selection, ducting, and piping design.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and relevant HVAC design/software tools.
• Ability to troubleshoot HVAC/mechanical issues during design review and project execution.
• Good understanding of HVAC codes, safety requirements, and energy-efficiency practices.
• Strong communication, documentation, coordination, and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects effectively.
