About this role
- Review architectural drawings, client requirements, project specifications, and applicable codes/standards.
- Perform heat-load calculations considering occupancy, lighting, equipment, envelope, ventilation, and fresh-air requirements.
- Develop HVAC system concepts and select suitable systems such as Chilled Water, VRF/VRV, DX, AHU/FCU, Package Units, and ventilation systems.
- Carry out equipment selection and sizing for chillers, pumps, cooling towers, AHUs, FCUs, fans, ventilation equipment, etc.
- Prepare duct sizing, routing, pressure-drop calculations, and external static pressure calculations.
- Design chilled-water piping, including pipe sizing, flow calculations, pump head calculations, valve arrangements, and schematics.
- Design fresh-air, toilet exhaust, kitchen exhaust, basement ventilation, and mechanical ventilation systems.
