HVAC 2D CAD Designer

About the Role

We are looking for skilled and detail-oriented HVAC 2D CAD Designers across Junior, Middle, and Senior levels to join our growing engineering team. The primary focus of this role is the preparation and delivery of HVAC duct fabrication drawings, layouts, and associated Bills of Materials (BOM) using Aveva E3D (HVAC E3D Draw module), alongside model reviews using Navisworks.

Key Responsibilities

• 3D Modeling & Design Refinement: Utilize 3D capabilities in AVEVA E3D to refine 3D models prior to generating fabrication drawings.
• Manufacturing Drawings & BOM: Produce accurate HVAC duct manufacturing drawings, layout details, and Bill of Materials (BOM) / Material Take-Offs (MTOs).
• Reporting & Extraction: Extract MTOs and various engineering reports directly from E3D Design.
• Model Review & Clash Coordination: Review HVAC models and check routing using Navisworks.
• Duct Specifications & Standards: Handle intricate HVAC duct components and specifications (such as stiffeners, flanges, elbows, etc.).
• Team Guidance & Leadership (For Middle/Senior Roles): Assist junior designers, monitor daily design activities, ensure proper network implementation, and verify final drawings against P&IDs and project variations.

Candidate Profile & Eligibility

• Education: Engineering Degree or Diploma.
• Experience Range:
  
• Junior: 3+ years of experience in E3D & HVAC.
• Middle: 5+ years of experience with advanced expertise in E3D Design & Draw modules.
• Senior: 8+ years of experience with leadership/monitoring capabilities.
• Technical Software Skills:
  
• Mandatory experience in AVEVA E3D (PDMS) focusing on HVAC ducting and accessories design.
• Working knowledge of Navisworks.
• Communication & Language: Mandatory proficiency in English (French language skills will be considered an added bonus).
