What you will be responsible for

1. Own Payroll Accuracy

• Process monthly payroll accurately and within defined timelines
• Validate attendance, leave, incentives, reimbursements, and payroll inputs
• Coordinate with payroll vendors to resolve discrepancies
• Ensure timely salary disbursement
• Resolve employee payroll queries promptly

2. Drive Labour Compliance

• Ensure compliance with all applicable labour laws and statutory requirements
• Track statutory filing timelines and ensure timely submissions
• Maintain statutory registers and compliance records
• Stay updated with changes in labour legislation
• Support inspections and regulatory requirements

3. Manage Vendor Compliance

• Coordinate with manpower agencies and labour contractors
• Review vendor statutory documents including PF, ESI, PT, and other compliance records
• Track pending submissions and ensure timely closure
• Escalate compliance risks proactively

4. Maintain Documentation & Audit Readiness

• Maintain complete payroll and statutory documentation
• Ensure records remain accurate and audit-ready
• Support internal and external compliance audits
• Respond to audit observations with timely documentation

5. Drive Stakeholder Coordination

• Work closely with HR, Finance, Operations, payroll vendors, and compliance consultants
• Resolve payroll and compliance queries within agreed timelines
• Provide accurate reports and timely updates
• Build strong working relationships across stakeholders

6. Improve Processes & Governance

• Identify opportunities to improve payroll and compliance processes
• Recommend automation wherever possible
• Reduce manual errors through better controls
• Support continuous improvement initiatives

Experience we value

2–5 years of experience in Payroll and Labour Compliance

Hands-on experience in payroll processing and statutory compliance

Experience working with payroll vendors or labour contractors

Good understanding of labour laws, PF, ESI, PT, LWF, and statutory filings

Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel

MSW (Master of Social Work) is good to have

Strong communication skills in English, Hindi, and Kannada
