Human Resource Manager

Role & responsibilities

• Manage monthly payroll processing for all employees, ensuring accuracy and timely salary disbursement.
• Own end-to-end recruitment across restaurants, cafs, central kitchen, corporate and leadership roles.
• Establish HR policies, processes and systems as the company scales.
• Drive employee engagement, retention and workplace culture.
• Coordinate and manage PF, ESI, Professional Tax, TDS and other applicable statutory compliances.
• Ensure timely filing of statutory returns and maintenance of required records and registers.
• Implement performance appraisal and performance management systems.
• Identify training and development needs across teams and coordinate relevant programs.
• Work closely with operations managers to address employee concerns and improve team productivity.
• Track HR metrics including attrition, hiring timelines, absenteeism and employee performance.
• Manage employee joining, exit, full & final settlement, leave, attendance and salary records.
• Coordinate with finance/payroll consultants, auditors and statutory authorities whenever required.
• Ensure proper documentation of employment contracts, offer letters, appointment letters and employee files.
• Maintain accurate employee master data and HRMIS records.
• Ensure compliance with applicable labour laws and employment regulations across all locations.
• Track payroll-related queries and resolve employee salary, deductions and statutory benefit issues.
• Set up robust HR processes that can scale as Lafayette expands into multiple cities.

Preferred candidate profile

Min 3 years of HR experience, preferably in F&B, hospitality, retail, QSR or another high-growth consumer business

Language to be known : Tamil, Hindi, English Kannada
