Job Description SAP HR Payroll Consultant

Experience: 3–5 Years

Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced SAP HR Payroll Consultant with 3–5 years of hands-on experience in SAP HCM Payroll. The ideal candidate should have strong knowledge of payroll processing, payroll configuration, wage types, statutory deductions, and payroll management.

Key Responsibilities

• Configure and maintain SAP HCM Payroll according to business requirements.
• Manage end-to-end payroll processing, including gross-to-net calculations.
• Work on payroll schemas, PCRs (Personnel Calculation Rules), and wage types.
• Configure payroll components such as Basic Salary, HRA, allowances, bonuses, and deductions.
• Handle statutory payroll components such as PF, ESI, Professional Tax, and Income Tax/TDS.
• Manage off-cycle payroll, retroactive accounting, and payroll corrections.
• Handle payroll posting to SAP FI/CO.
• Troubleshoot and resolve payroll-related issues.
• Support integration with Personnel Administration (PA) and Organizational Management (OM).
• Prepare payroll reports, payslips, and payroll documentation.
• Coordinate with HR and Finance teams to ensure accurate payroll processing.
• Support SAP HCM implementation, enhancement, and maintenance projects.

Required Technical Skills

• 3–5 years of experience in SAP HR/HCM Payroll.
• Strong knowledge of SAP Payroll configuration.
• Hands-on experience with Payroll Schemas and PCRs.
• Wage Type creation and configuration.
• Gross-to-Net Payroll Processing.
• Retroactive Accounting and Off-Cycle Payroll.
• Payroll Control Records.
• Payroll Posting to FI/CO.
• Knowledge of Indian payroll statutory components (PF, ESI, PT, TDS).
• Understanding of SAP HCM modules – PA and OM.
• Experience in payroll troubleshooting and support.
• Knowledge of SAP ECC and SAP S/4HANA HCM is an added advantage.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in HR, Finance, IT, or a related discipline.
• Experience in SAP HCM Payroll implementation and support projects.
• Knowledge of end-to-end payroll processing.
• Good analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
