Hse Manager

Role & responsibilities:

• Lead overall Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) management for the project.
• Develop and implement project HSE plans, procedures, risk assessments and safety programs.
• Ensure compliance with IFC Performance Standards, World Bank Group EHS Guidelines and applicable legal requirements.
• Conduct regular site inspections, HSE audits, safety reviews and management walkthroughs.
• Drive control of critical risks including work at height, lifting, electrical, excavation, confined space, fire and construction activities.
• Lead incident/accident investigation, root-cause analysis and corrective/preventive actions.
• Manage HSE performance of contractors and subcontractors, including audits and compliance monitoring.
• Ensure effective emergency preparedness, drills, toolbox talks, inductions and HSE training.
• Monitor HSE KPIs and prepare monthly/quarterly HSE reports for Project Management and lenders.
• Coordinate with IFC/World Bank, consultants, auditors and statutory authorities on HSE/E&S compliance.
