About this role
We are looking for a high-energy, entrepreneurial HR Manager / Lead - People Operations (Ground Zero) to build our human resources department from scratch in our Dehradun office. As our first HR hire, you will take us from informal management to a fully compliant, tech-driven, and scalable workforce architecture.
Role & responsibilities
Statutory Compliance Setup
Establish baseline Indian labor compliance from scratch, including PF, ESIC, Professional Tax (PT), LWF, and Gratuity setup.
Tech & Talent Recruitment
Own the end-to-end recruitment lifecycle to source high-demand technical and operational talent across startup hubs.
Payroll & HRIS Automation
Implement an India-centric HRIS/Payroll system (e.g., RazorpayX, Keka, greytHR) to automate monthly payroll and TDS.
Culture & Retention
Design engagement strategies to maintain high motivation and align team culture with mission-critical goals.
Preferred candidate profile
3-5 years core HR experience (1+ yrs early-stage Indian startup). Deep understanding of Indian Employment Laws & Payroll.
