HR Intern/Trainee(Third party payroll)

Role & responsibilities

Job SummaryWe are looking for a dedicated and energetic HR Intern to join our HR team onsite at our manufacturing plant. You will support day-to-day human resources operations on the shop floor. This role provides hands-on exposure to plant-level recruitment, blue-collar employee relations, time office administration, and statutory compliance under the guidance of the Plant HR Manager.

Key Responsibilities1. Plant Recruitment & Onboarding

• Assist in local sourcing, screening resumes, and coordinating walk-in interviews for contract and permanent shop-floor roles.
• Help conduct the induction and onboarding process for new workers, apprentices, and staff members.
• Prepare joining kits, issue appointment letters, and ensure complete documentation (ID proofs, medical fitness certificates, background checks).

2. Time Office & Employee Data Management

• Maintain and update daily attendance records, shift rosters, and leave registers in coordination with the time office.
• Assist in maintaining accurate employee databases and HRIS for plant personnel, leavers, and contract workers.
• Support data collection for monthly payroll processing (overtime tracking, canteen deductions, incentives).

3. Employee Engagement & Welfare

• Assist in organizing plant events, safety week celebrations, town halls, and worker welfare activities (canteen committees, sports, rewards & recognition).
• Help address day-to-day employee queries regarding benefits, transport, canteen, and medical insurance.
• Assist in conducting exit interviews for contract or temporary workers to capture feedback.

4. Statutory Compliance & Administration

• Support the HR team in maintaining registers required under local labor laws (e.g., Factories Act, Contract Labour Act).
• Help file and organize personnel files, training records, and statutory compliance documents systematically.
