About this role
About the role
We are looking for an HR Business Partner who will be the single HR point of contact for a team of about 300 employees. You will own the full employee lifecycle, from onboarding to exit, and work closely with business heads to keep their teams engaged and well supported. You will be supported by an HR Associate for day-to-day transactional work.
Key responsibilities
- Manage onboarding end to end: document verification, PF/ESI enrolment, appointment letters and background verification within timelines.
- Handle confirmations, mediclaim additions, maternity leave and other employee lifecycle changes.
- Manage resignations and exits, including exit interviews, clearances and inputs for full and final settlement.
- Handle disciplinary cases, absconding cases and performance improvement plans with managers.
- Act as the first point of contact for employee queries and grievances, and close helpdesk tickets on time.
- Conduct skip-level and focus group meetings, and follow through on the actions that come out of them.
- Meet business heads regularly on headcount, attrition, open issues and people risks.
- Act as the recruitment point of contact for your team: raise hiring requests, support shortlisting and own the joiner from offer onwards.
- Drive the appraisal cycle for your team and handle appraisal-related queries.
- Help employees adopt new HR tools and self-service, and suggest process improvements.
- Keep employee records audit-ready and support internal and external audits.
- Guide and review the work of the HR Associate supporting you.
What were looking for
- MBA / PG in HR or equivalent.
- 3 to 5 years of experience as an HR generalist or in HR operations.
- Hands-on experience in onboarding, BGV, confirmations, exits and employee relations.
- Working knowledge of PF, ESI and basic labour-law compliance.
- Experience using an HRMS, and good Excel skills (VLOOKUP, pivot tables).
- Clear written and spoken English, with the confidence to handle sensitive conversations.
- Flexible to work in a late evening shift.
Good to have
- Exposure to audits such as ISO, SOC or ICFR.
- Experience handling POSH or disciplinary cases.
