About this role
Job Title: HR Assistant Recruitment, Team Management, Payroll & SOP Development
We are looking for a proactive and organised HR Assistant who can help build a strong, professional, and accountable workforce for our manufacturing company. The candidate will be responsible for end-to-end recruitment, identifying the right talent for the right roles, screening CVs, conducting initial interviews, coordinating with department heads, managing joining formalities, employee documentation, attendance, leave records, and maintaining employee databases. The objective is to build a capable team across factory operations, accounts, finance, purchase, sales, administration, and management, while ensuring that every department has the required manpower and clearly defined responsibilities.
The candidate will be responsible for salary preparation, payroll coordination, attendance and overtime calculations, leave management, employee performance tracking, PF, ESIC, professional tax and other applicable labour compliances. The role also includes maintaining salary structures, employee records, offer letters, appointment letters, joining and exit formalities, employee discipline, grievance handling, staff coordination, and tracking daily workforce requirements. The candidate should establish proper HR systems for monitoring employee productivity, reporting structures, task accountability, performance reviews, training, and retention. Experience in managing factory workers, supervisors, managers, and office staff in a manufacturing environment will be preferred.
A key responsibility will be to help management create a system-driven organisation by developing and implementing Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), HR policies, job descriptions, departmental responsibilities, reporting structures, and performance measurement systems. The candidate must coordinate with all departments to document daily workflows, establish clear processes, reduce dependency on individuals, improve accountability, and ensure that employees follow defined procedures. The ideal candidate should have strong communication, organisational, recruitment, documentation, and problem-solving skills, along with practical knowledge of MS Excel, HR software, payroll systems, and labour laws. We are looking for someone who can take ownership, improve team discipline, support management in building the right workforce, and contribute to the company's long-term growth by creating a professional and well-managed organisation.
