Housekeeping Attendant

Key Roles & Responsibilities:

• Clean and maintain hospital areas, including patient rooms, OPD, IPD, corridors, washrooms, waiting areas, and the lobby.
• Ensure proper cleaning and disinfection of floors, surfaces, furniture, and frequently touched areas.
• Maintain high standards of hygiene, sanitation, and cleanliness throughout the hospital.
• Follow hospital infection control protocols and biomedical waste segregation guidelines.
• Collect and dispose of waste in designated bins as per hospital policy.
• Refill handwash, sanitizers, tissue papers, and other housekeeping supplies.
• Clean spills immediately and place warning signs on wet floors to prevent accidents.
• Maintain cleanliness in patient care areas without disturbing patients or hospital activities.
• Use cleaning chemicals, equipment, and materials safely and appropriately.
• Report maintenance issues, damages, or shortages of cleaning materials to the housekeeping supervisor.
• Follow the duty roster, assigned cleaning schedules, and instructions from the supervisor.
• Maintain professional behavior, punctuality, and discipline while on duty.
