Housekeeping Attendant

Role & responsibilities

1. Clean carpets, upholstery, floors, guest rooms, corridors, restrooms, and public areas.
2. Dust and polish furniture, fixtures, and other surfaces.
3. Collect, transport, and dispose of soiled linen and waste from guest floors and service areas.
4. Receive, arrange, and replenish clean linen, guest amenities, and housekeeping supplies.
5. Maintain housekeeping carts, linen rooms, and storage areas in a clean and organized manner.
6. Assist Room Attendants with bed stripping, mattress handling, furniture movement, and special cleaning tasks.
7. Arrange extra beds, rollaway beds, and other guestroom equipment as required.
8. Inspect assigned floors and maintain cleanliness in all designated areas.
9. Report lost and found articles, damages, maintenance issues, and supply shortages to the supervisor.
10. Respond courteously to guest requests and coordinate with Housekeeping and Laundry teams.
11. Follow hotel SOPs, hygiene, safety, and security standards.
12. Perform any other duties assigned by the Housekeeping Manager or Supervisor.

Preferred candidate profile

Ability to follow instructions and established cleaning procedures.

• Good attention to detail and personal hygiene.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Positive attitude, discipline, punctuality, and teamwork.
• Good guest-service orientation and professional conduct.
• Basic understanding of linen handling, cleaning equipment, and housekeeping supplies.
