Hostel Warden

Role & responsibilities

• Administration & Supervision:
• Oversee room allocation, check-ins, and guest registries.
• Monitor facility upkeep, including water, electricity, sanitation, and cleanliness.
• Coordinate maintenance repairs with the college operations or housekeeping team.
• Student Welfare & Health:
• Support student nurses coping with demanding clinical schedules, exam stress, or personal issues.
• Manage medical emergencies, coordinate hospital visits, and monitor sick students.
• Supervise the hostel mess and check the quality, hygiene, and nutrition of food served.
• Discipline & Code of Conduct:
• Enforce hostel timings, curfew rules, and visitor/entry logs.
• Prevent unauthorized guests, ragging, or prohibited items on premises.
• Address behavioral infractions and report serious issues to the Principal or Dean.
• Safety & Security:
• Coordinate with security personnel and matrons to monitor campus and building access.
• Ensure compliance with fire safety and emergency evacuation protocols.
• Maintain 24/7 on-call availability for urgent situations.
• Parent & Administration Liaison:
• Communicate with parents or guardians regarding student welfare, leaves, or disciplinary concerns.
• Submit periodic occupancy, maintenance, and incident reports to college management.
• Any other work as and when required.
