Hostel Warden

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the overall day-to-day operations and administration of the girls hostel.
• Ensure the safety, security, discipline, and well-being of all hostel students.
• Supervise wardens, support staff, housekeeping, security, and other hostel personnel.
• Maintain and enforce hostel rules, regulations, timings, attendance, and discipline.
• Monitor student attendance, movement, leave permissions, and entry/exit records.
• Act as the primary point of contact for students and parents regarding hostel-related matters.
• Handle student concerns, grievances, conflicts, and behavioural issues in a professional and sensitive manner.
• Coordinate with the academic team, management, parents, and other departments whenever required.
• Ensure proper supervision of study hours, meals, recreational activities, and daily routines.
• Monitor hostel facilities, cleanliness, hygiene, maintenance, and overall living conditions.
• Coordinate with the housekeeping, food, security, and maintenance teams to ensure smooth hostel operations.
• Respond appropriately to emergencies and ensure timely escalation of medical, safety, or disciplinary incidents.
• Maintain accurate hostel records, registers, reports, and documentation.
• Organize and monitor hostel activities, events, and student engagement programmes.
• Ensure compliance with institutional policies, safety protocols, and hostel guidelines.
• Take additional responsibilities related to student welfare and hostel administration as assigned by management.
