Role & responsibilities

• To perform routine and non-routine Nuclear Medicine tests utilizing appropriate techniques with proper radiation safety measures to ensure quality diagnostic images.
• To prepare the patient adequately and correctly for the diagnostic test or therapy, including part preparation, catheterization, cannulisation, sedation etc.
• To ensure correct positioning of patients for the required tests.
• To acquire the studies using the correct and appropriate protocols as defined by the SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures) for the test.
• To assist in application and management of therapeutics radio-nuclides.
• To explain the procedure to patients or parents including taking informed written consent when required.
• To assist in cardiac stress testing.
