Job Description Job Description

We are looking for a Java Developer with 1-2 years of experience to design, develop, test, and maintain scalable backend applications and REST APIs. The candidate should have strong Java fundamentals and hands-on experience with Spring Boot and databases.

Required Skills

• Strong knowledge of Core Java, Advanced Java, OOP, Collections, Exception Handling, and Java 8+ features (Streams, Lambda, Optional).
• Hands-on experience with Spring Boot, Spring MVC, Dependency Injection, and REST API development.
• Good knowledge of REST APIs, JSON, HTTP methods/status codes, API validation, and error handling.
• Strong SQL knowledge and hands-on experience with PostgreSQL.
• Working knowledge of MongoDB and NoSQL concepts.
• Hands-on exposure to Kafka or similar messaging technologies and basic understanding of producers, consumers, topics, and consumer groups.
• Basic understanding of HTML, CSS, and frontend-backend integration.
• Knowledge of Git, Maven/Gradle, unit testing, debugging, logging, and troubleshooting.
• Basic understanding of microservices, Docker, CI/CD, and cloud concepts is an advantage.
• Understanding of clean code, SOLID principles, design patterns, and secure coding practices is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain Java/Spring Boot applications and REST APIs.
• Design and implement database solutions using PostgreSQL and MongoDB.
• Integrate applications using Kafka/messaging systems.
• Debug, troubleshoot, and resolve application issues.
• Write unit tests and maintain clean, reusable, and scalable code.
• Collaborate with BAs, QA, architects, DevOps, and other developers.
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to technical design discussions.

Qualifications

• B.E./B.Tech/BCA/B.Sc. in Computer Science, IT, or a related field.
• 12 years of professional Java development experience.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Java/Spring Boot certifications are an advantage but not mandatory.
