Key Responsibilities
- Identify, evaluate, and maintain relationships with approved vendors and suppliers.
- Obtain and compare quotations to ensure cost-effective purchasing while maintaining quality standards.
- Prepare and process Purchase Requisitions (PRs) and Purchase Orders (POs) as per company procedures.
- Coordinate with Production, Planning, Warehouse, QA, QC, and Stores teams to ensure timely availability of raw materials.
- Monitor order status and follow up with suppliers to ensure on-time deliveries.
- Support vendor qualification and periodic supplier performance evaluations.
- Maintain accurate procurement records, vendor databases, purchase reports, and documentation.
- Coordinate with Finance for invoice verification and timely supplier payments.
- Follow up on material shortages, delayed deliveries, and supplier-related issues.
- Ensure procurement activities comply with company policies and procedures.
- 2–5 years of experience in Raw Material Procurement/Purchase, preferably in the pharmaceutical industry.
- Basic knowledge of procurement of pharmaceutical raw materials.
- Basic working knowledge of SAP.
- Good vendor coordination and negotiation skills.
- Strong communication, follow-up, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to coordinate effectively with cross-functional teams.
