Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Networking Automation Engineer with strong knowledge of Layer 2 (L2) and Layer 3 (L3) networking protocols, network protocol testing, and test automation. The candidate should have hands-on experience in Python scripting, network testing using Ixia, and UI automation using Selenium, Cypress, or Playwright.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for validating network protocols, developing and maintaining automated test scripts, executing regression tests, and troubleshooting and resolving defects.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform manual and automated testing of Layer 2 and Layer 3 networking protocols.
• Design, develop, and automate new test cases using Python.
• Execute regression testing to validate network functionality and stability.
• Work with network traffic generation and analysis tools such as Ixia.
• Develop and maintain UI automation scripts using Selenium, Cypress, or Playwright.
• Perform defect triaging, root cause analysis, defect logging, and tracking.
• Debug test failures and collaborate with development teams to resolve defects.
• Contribute to defect fixing and automation framework improvements.
• Validate network behavior, protocol functionality, and interoperability.
• Prepare test reports, document test results, and maintain test artifacts.

Required Technical Skills

Networking

• Strong understanding of Layer 2 and Layer 3 networking protocols.
• Hands-on knowledge of STP, RSTP, VLAN, and OSPF.
• Understanding of network switching, routing, and protocol behavior.

Network Testing Tools

• Hands-on experience with Ixia for network traffic generation and protocol testing.

Programming and Automation

• Good Python scripting skills.
• Experience with at least one UI automation framework: Selenium, Cypress, or Playwright.
• Ability to develop, debug, and maintain automated test scripts.

API Technology Good to Have

• Knowledge of GraphQL and API testing.

Candidate Requirements

• Around 5 years of relevant experience in networking testing and automation.
• Practical experience in manual protocol testing and test automation.
• Strong troubleshooting, debugging, and analytical skills.
• Ability to work with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve technical issues.
• Immediate joiners are required.
• Candidates must be comfortable with the specified compensation range and one of the listed work locations.
