About this role
Job Description: Group Chief Financial Officer (Group CFO)
About the Organisation
We are a diversified, publicly listed corporate investment holding and technology incubation organization. Our business model operates through a highly scalable, tech-driven multi-business architecture. We manage a robust portfolio of high-growth verticals across Indias booming digital and retail economy, including Financial Services & Stock Broking, Real Estate Development, Digital Healthcare, Logistics & E-commerce, Travel, Automobiles, etc.
Rather than running isolated entities, our organization operates on a highly automated shared-services model. All operational infrastructure, financial accounting, risk management, and legal compliance functions are centralized at the parent entity level to optimize efficiency and minimize costs. Having recently concluded a major equity capital expansion to significantly enhance our institutional capital adequacy, we are now entering a rapid scaling phase. The group is actively preparing for subsequent multi-million dollar institutional funding rounds and private equity placements to expand our market footprint.

- Reporting To: Board of Directors / Chairman & Whole-time Director
As the Group CFO, you will assume a high-impact, visible leadership role steering the financial destiny of our expanding multi-industry ecosystem. This position is a unique blend of corporate finance engineering, multi-vertical subsidiary governance, tech-driven platform economics, and public market stewardship. You will serve as a vital strategic partner to the executive management, orchestrating group-wide financial planning, leading sub-stack capital raising, maintaining absolute governance, and driving operational automation.
Key Responsibilities
1. Strategic Financial Leadership & Capital Raising
- Fundraising & Institutional Placement: Lead, structure, and execute upcoming corporate equity funding rounds, private equity placements, and institutional capital sourcing avenues to fuel vertical-wise expansion.
- Capital Allocation & Deployment: Oversee corporate asset funding, ensuring structured mobilization of capital into high-yield operating verticals while strictly maintaining capital preservation discipline.
- Boutique Corporate Advisory: Act as an internal advisor on mid-market debt syndication, private placements, optimal capital budgeting, and balance sheet restructuring across the group.
2. Shared Services Governance & Tech Integration
- Centralised Portfolio Control: Enforce a rigid financial governance framework across all portfolio businesses via a centralized parent-level back office, eliminating duplication of roles and reducing operational overhead.
- Tech-Driven Processes: Collaborate with the technology division to deploy enterprise ERPs, automated workflow modules, and data analytics tools to streamline financial reporting and controls.
- Commercial Strategy & Unit Economics: Actively track and optimize transaction metrics, including platform margins, Customer Acquisition Costs (CAC), and partner referral commission frameworks.
3. Corporate Governance, Compliance & Risk Management
- Public Company Compliance: Ensure continuous, absolute adherence to SEBI Listing Regulations (LODR), RBI NBFC compliance thresholds, MCA regulations, and all applicable statutory frameworks.
- Audit Management: Anchor internal, statutory, and tax audits across all group companies to ensure clean, transparent, and unmodified financial disclosures.
- Litigation & Contingent Risk Management: Proactively manage tax disputes (including indirect tax/CESTAT demands and direct income tax appeals), collaborating with legal counsel to safeguard organizational liquidity.
Candidate Profile & Qualifications
- Education: Must be a qualified Chartered Accountant (CA). Additional CS (Company Secretary) or an MBA in Finance from a premier institution will be a strong advantage.
- Experience: Proven leadership track record within a listed corporate house, financial services conglomerate, technology-driven ecosystem, or a complex multi-subsidiary enterprise.
- Fundraising Exposure: Documented history of leading or actively managing public equity issues, venture capital/private equity fund infusions, or institutional debt syndication.
- Core Competencies:
- Deep domain knowledge of consolidated corporate accounting, SEBI listing guidelines, and multi-industry legal compliance frameworks.
- Hands-on experience setting up or scaling shared service centers (SSCs) or centralized financial back-offices.
- Exceptional strategic mindset with the ability to alternate focus seamlessly between early-stage tech operations and mature financial businesses.
- Strong financial analytical capability to manage leverage matrices (Current Ratio, Debt-Equity, ROE, ROCE).
